Lorene Anderson

Lorene Anderson lives and works in Oakland, California. Anderson received her B.F.A. from Miami University of Ohio and her M.F.A. from UC Berkeley, where she received the Eisner Award for painting. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including George Lawson Gallery/room for painting room for paper, San Francisco; the Sakai City Cultural Hall, Japan; SFMOMA Artists Gallery and Gen Art's Emerge, San Francisco. She is interested in self-automating systems—chance, gravity and physics control the shape, direction, and distribution of paint. Anderson is represented by George Lawson Gallery in San Francisco.
