Rodney Harder

Rodney Harder was born in Ogallala, Nebraska. He took his MA from California State University, Fresno, in 1975. Harder is a painter and has exhibited nationally and internationally.

His work has been exhibited in New York at Art in General, Art Prospects Gallery, and Artists Space. Recent exhibitions include Primitif Complique, curated by Merlin James, at Galerie Les Filles Du Calvaire, Brussels, Belgium; and solo shows at Gallery Jeju in Jeju, Korea, Palazzo Montefano, Bologna, Italy; and The Fresno Art Museum, Fresno, California.

His national awards include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in painting; a Mid-Atlantic National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in painting, and a New York Foundation for the Arts Artist's Fellowship. He received an Artist Residency at Yaddo, supported by The Milton and Sally Avery Residency Fellowship Grant. He also received a Summer Fellowship at St Johns College, Oxford.

Harder teaches at The Collegiate School in New York.
